Kuwait's civil aviation stops all flights to, from Iraq
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation decided Monday to stop all flights to and from Iraq due to the new coronavirus (COVID-19).
In a press statement, the DGCA said the decision was taken upon a recommendation
from the Ministry of Health following the confirmation of the first COVID-19
infection in Iraq Monday.
It stated that all expats who visited Iraq over the past two weeks will not be
allowed to enter the country, even if they have valid visas, meanwhile Kuwaitis
will be put in quarantine at special health facilities.
It added that no entry visas will be issued for those coming from Iraq.
The DGCA said that all airlines coming to Kuwait will not be allowed to take
transit passengers from Iraq.
