Kuwait and Chad Sign an Agreement to Regulate Air Transport
The State of Kuwait and the Republic
of Chad signed the Air Transport Regulation Agreement during the meetings of
the General Assembly of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) held
from 27 September to 7 October 2022 in Montreal.
On the Kuwaiti side, the President of
Civil Aviation Sheikh/ Abdullah Ali Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah and on the
Chadian side, the Minister of Civil Aviation and National Meteorology of the
Republic of Chad Mr/ Hussein Souqmi, signed the full agreement between the two
parties.
Following the signing ceremony, the
President of Civil Aviation Sheikh/ Abdullah Al-Ali Al-Sabah stressed that this
agreement comes within the plan set for the General Directorate of Civil
Aviation, which aims to expand the scope of cooperation with civil aviation
authorities in other countries to serve the interests of civil aviation and air
carriers and link Kuwait International Airport with the largest aviation
network with international airports, which will benefit passengers from and to
Kuwait International Airport.
He added that the Directorate General
of Civil Aviation will hold other meetings during the General Assembly of the
International Civil Aviation Organization meetings in order to achieve the
demands of national airlines towards opening the horizons of cooperation with
friendly countries in the air transport sector.
