President of Civil Aviation Inspects Bundle (3) Project
President of
Civil Aviation, Sheikh/ Abdullah Al-Ali Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah,
toured the Third Bundle Project, accompanied by the Deputy Director-General for
Planning and Projects Affairs, Eng. Saad Al-Otaibi, and a number of Civil
Aviation officials.
Eng. Al-Otaibi
explained that Bundle (3) Project comprises four main phases, the first is
development of the Southern Area at Kuwait International Airport, the second is
construction of the New Third Runway, and the third is re-construction and improvement
of the Eastern Runway, in addition to the fourth phase, which includes
construction of the New Control Tower.
Following the
tour, Director of Planning & Follow-up Department Mr./ Ahmad Hussain
said in a press statement that the inspection tour of the Third Bundle Project
comes within the framework of the keenness of the President of Civil Aviation
Sheikh/ Abdullah Al-Ali Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah to actively follow
up and execute the development projects for Kuwait International Airport.
He added that
the project is going well and vigorous follow-up is carried out by the Planning
& Projects Sector to complete the works and finalize the operation of the Third
Runway and the New Control Tower.
