Operating 2,800 Outgoing and Incoming Flights during Eid Al-Fiter Holiday
The Deputy Director-General for
Planning and Projects Affairs and official spokesperson for the Directorate General
of Civil Aviation - Eng./ Saad Mohammed Al-Otaibi, affirmed the success
of Civil Aviation with all its operational sectors during Eid Al-Fiter holiday,
in collaboration with all governmental and non-governmental bodies operating at
Kuwait International Airport.
Al-Otaibi said in an exclusive statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that
2,800 flights were operated during the period from April 28 to May 7, 2022,
distributed over 1,400 outgoing flights and 1,400 incoming flights.
Al-Otaibi stated that passengers’ traffic from and to Kuwait International
Airport amounted to 352,140 passengers during Eid Al-Fiter holiday, distributed
over 207,760 departing and 144,380 arriving to the country from and to Kuwait
International Airport.
Al-Otaibi added that 76 additional flights were operated during the Eid
holiday, with a total number of 14,750 passengers during the nine-day holiday
period.
Al-Otaibi praised the efforts of all government bodies operating at Kuwait
International Airport, led by the Ministry of Interior and the Customs General Department,
as well as the primary role of the airline companies and ground service
providers, in addition to the enormous efforts put forth by all employees of the
Directorate General of Civil Aviation to make Eid al-Fiter holiday plan a
success.
