Civil Aviation Reviews Kuwait Airways' Plan for the Next Three Years
Within the framework of its keenness
to review the plans of the national airline companies, the Directorate General
of Civil Aviation, in the presence of the President of Civil Aviation Sheikh/ Abdullah
Al-Ali Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, and the Director-General - Eng. Yousef
Sulaiman Al-Fouzan, a delegation from Kuwait Airways Company headed by the
Chairman of Board of Directors Captain/ Ali Al-Dakhan and the Chief
Executive Officer - Eng./ Ma’an Razouqi, and also in the presence of a
number of officials from Civil Aviation and Kuwait Airways.
At the beginning of the meeting,
President of Civil Aviation Sheikh/ Abdullah Al-Ali Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah
affirmed the Civil Aviation’s support for national carriers in their operating
plans during the next phase, indicating that the government pays great
attention to the Civil Aviation sector in the country, where Kuwait
International Airport is currently witnessing a group of development projects
in addition to a number of future projects to modernize the infrastructure of
air- transport sector in the State of Kuwait.
For his part, the Chairman of Board
of Directors of Kuwait Airways, Captain/ Ali Al-Dakhan, expressed his
thanks and gratitude for the role of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation
in supporting the national carrier, expressing his hope to provide more support
to Kuwait Airways, which bears a major national responsibility in strengthening
the national economy throughout its course of work that exceeds 67 years.
Thereafter, the Chief Executive
Officer Eng./ Ma’an Razouqi gave a visual presentation that included
Kuwait Airways' plan for the next three years, the expected developments in the
number of the fleet, new destinations and upcoming changes in the areas of
marketing, operating network, ground services, maintenance, catering and
passenger services.
