Civil Aviation Participates in the Annual Meeting of (ICAN 21)
The State of Kuwait, represented by
the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, participated with an official
delegation headed by the President of Civil Aviation Sheikh/ Abdullah Al-Ali
Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, in the annual meeting of the International
Agreements Conference (ICAN 21), which was held during the period 5 - 10 December
2021 in the Colombian capital (Bogota), which is usually organized and supervised
by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), in the presence of
representatives of civil aviation authorities around the world and many
regional and international organizations specialized in the field of civil
aviation.
On this occasion, Director of Air-Transport
Department at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation - Abdullah Fadous
Al-Rajehi said that the participation of the State of Kuwait in this
meeting, which is considered one of the important global events, emanates from
the keenness of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation to strengthen mutual relations
with the participating countries and to enhance collaboration in the fields of
air-transport.
Al-Rajehi added that this meeting is a suitable opportunity for countries to
conduct discussions so as to sign bilateral agreements to regulate air-transport
between them or to update memorandums of understanding related to operational
matters that are in the interest of the countries and their airline companies.
The Director of Air-Transport Department
indicated that the State of Kuwait will strive through this conference to attain
the greatest desired results to sign agreements and memorandums of understanding
with several countries in order to realize the interests of the State of Kuwait
by expanding its network of relations with other countries and also to achieve
the demands of our national carriers to link Kuwait International Airport with
the largest operational network of other airports for the benefit of all
travelers from and to Kuwait International Airport.
